BECOMING ERNESTA
The Journey of Growth, Healing, and Building My Life
There comes a moment in life where you stop asking, “Why is this happening to me?” and start asking, “Who am
I becoming through this?”
For me, that moment didn’t come all at once. It came slowly, through experiences, through pain, through growth, and through the quiet realization that life was not waiting for me to be ready. I had to become ready while living it.
My name is Ernesta, but many know me as Nesta. I am a marketing professional, a creative, a writer, an actress, and most importantly, a mother. But beyond all these titles, I am a woman in the process of becoming.
Becoming stronger. Becoming wiser. Becoming more aligned with the life I truly want.
My journey has never been linear. There have been moments where I felt completely in control, and moments where everything felt like it was falling apart. I have had to pause my dreams, redirect my path, and sometimes start over in ways I never expected.
But one thing I’ve learned is this: growth does not always look beautiful while it is happening.
Sometimes growth looks like confusion. Sometimes it looks like being tired, overwhelmed, and unsure of what comes next. Sometimes it looks like outgrowing people, environments, and even versions of yourself that once felt like home.
And that is okay.
In my career, I have found a space where creativity meets strategy. Marketing is not just about selling, it is about connection. It is about understanding people, telling stories, and creating something that resonates. I have had the opportunity to build brands, grow platforms, and create content that reaches people beyond my immediate world.
But even with that, I am still learning. Still improving. Still figuring things out.
Because success, for me, is not a destination. It is a continuous process.
Outside of my professional life, I am deeply connected to creativity. Writing has been my way of understanding myself. Poetry has been my way of expressing emotions I could not always say out loud. Acting has allowed me to step into different lives and feel things more deeply.
These are not just hobbies, they are parts of who I am.
And then there is motherhood.
Having my daughter changed everything. It shifted my perspective, my priorities, and my understanding of responsibility. It taught me that my life is no longer just about me, it is about the example I set, the life I build, and the love I give.
She is one of the biggest reasons I refuse to give up on myself.
Because one day, she will look at me and understand what it means to keep going, even when it is hard.
This blog is not about perfection. It is not about having everything figured out. It is about honesty.
Here, I will share my journey, my wins, my struggles, my lessons, and my growth. I will talk about marketing, creativity, life, love, and everything in between. Some days will be structured and informative. Other days will be raw and emotional.
Because that is real life.
If you are reading this and you feel like you are still figuring things out, still growing, still trying to understand your place in the world, you are not alone.
We are all becoming.
And maybe, just maybe, that is the most powerful part of the journey.
